The White Lotus – Ethos We are inspired by Nature. Nature gives us everything we need to heal and harmonise. It is only when we depart from this notion, that dis-ease and disharmony sets in. Here at The White Lotus we want to share this inspiration. We would like to help you foster that feeling of connection and balance on a deep level of Mind, Body and Spirit. The White Lotus Wellness Centre is located in the heart of Cape Town in a beautiful 3 level Victorian. Home to an experienced team of wellness professionals, we welcome you to explore the wide variety of therapies on offer, all under one roof. Acupuncture, Chinese Herbal Therapy, massage, Functional Medicine, Naturopathy, Osteopathy, Nutritional therapy, Reflexology, Psychotherapy, Pilates, Yoga (Kundalini, Iyengar, Hatha, Vinyasa) and Mindfulness Meditation. Modifications to the exercises allow for a range of difficulty, from beginning to advanced. Get the workout that best suits you now, and increase the intensity as your body conditioning improves. Pilates exercises focus on strengthening the body’s inner support system to attain maximum balance and alignment as well as correct muscle “firing†patterns. Re-train your body to attain more efficient patterns of motion – invaluable for injury recovery, sports performance, good posture and optimal health. The exercises develop core control by integrating the trunk, pelvis and shoulder girdle. By emphasizing proper breathing, correct spinal and pelvic alignment, and concentration on smooth, flowing movements, you become acutely in tune with your body.
