Sri Bodhiraja Foundation is a non-profit organization dedicated to social welfare based on Buddhism. This service pool was established in 1991 by Dr. Omalpe Sobitha Theropa based on Embilipitiya Sri Bodhiraja Dharmayathan and was recognized as an incorporated institution by the Parliament of Sri Lanka in 1993. This institution, which is engaged in many social welfare services spread in every field of education, health, economic, moral, etc., considers the spiritual well-being of the people as the only expectation, and is operating with the Samma Vayamaya as the first deri.
Social morality cannot be stabilized only by preaching without regard to the basic facilities of the people. This organization, which begins by teaching this theological theme and realizing the duty of a monk, defines from the temple to the village and from the village to the temple.
