Yogaworks is a bright and welcoming space that offers a wide range of yoga classes during the day and evening.Located in the center of Lausanne, the studio is easily accessible by foot, public transport or by car (the Riponne car park and the Béjart metro station are 2 minutes away). With a surface of 160 m2, it includes a large practice room, two fully equipped dressing rooms (showers, lockers, etc.) as well as a reception area.
Opened in 2003 by Marielle and Duncan Fraser, Yogaworks grew to become a popular place, open 7 days a week, all year round. Accompanied by a team of qualified and enthusiastic teachers, all levels of practitioners are welcome and everyone can evolve at their own pace in a non-competitive environment.
The courses are given in English and French and operate without registration. It is therefore not necessary to announce beforehand, you come when you want!Note that the early morning Mysore program is managed independently by Jérôme Jaquier. We look forward to meeting you or seeing you again.
COURSES
Yogaworks offers several different but complementary styles of hatha yoga. All courses are based on the physical practice of yoga, combined with appropriate breathing technique.
Hatha yoga is the physical branch of yoga designed to develop a healthy body and a clear and serene mind. The regular practice of hatha yoga tones the muscles, promotes vigor, resistance, flexibility and concentration. It helps to strengthen the immune system, reduce stress, while improving body posture and alignment of the spine.
(For more information on hatha yoga has its benefits, thank you to refer to the Q & A section Read more). The choice of courses will depend on the objectives and preferences of each. If hathayoga classes tend to be softer and more focused on alignment, the courses of vinyasa power are more athletic and can be physically demanding.
