The Pavana Chiang Mai Resort

The Pavana is set in a beautiful location on a hillside near rice paddies and picturesque villages. We were well looked after by the staff who remained in good spirits despite the sharp drop in tourist arrivals because of the coronavirus crisis. All services were maintained and the food was delicious! We particularly enjoyed the Bamboo Spa and the swimming pool, as well as exercising in the Cloud 9 Sala. We took part in the Fresh Start Boot Camp offered by the resort which was exhausting and thorough and very rewarding. Thank you! (Unfortunately, because we were there in late March, there was some air pollution due to farmers burning fields in Myanmar. But the Pavana did all they could by providing air purifiers.) Overall, we had a fantastic time and would definitely visit again.

This is my second visit to the resort . I come here to attend a fitness camp. The area is quiet and relaxing . The staff are friendly. The rooms were clean . There were more mosquitoes around by the time we were leaving but I guess that is to be expected given the region. The therapists at the spa were professional and well mannered . Would definitely recommend the place if visiting for a quiet retreat, for meditation or fitness . May not be ideal for those wishing to explore the city . The airport is about 45 mins by car and the resort offers a collection and drop off service . The quality of food in the restaurant is very good.

I stayed at the Pavana Resort for 5 weeks on a Samasati yoga teacher training retreat. The setting could not have been more like paradise or the staff more obliging. The gardens were tended by a tireless team and the organic vegetable garden provided the food for the delicious restaurant. The manager, Tulip was so beautiful and helpful and the waiting staff became my friends, especially Big and Aou and Chanida were great. My room was kept immaculate by the maids. If you want to get fit join the boot camp. Totally wonderful self contained paradise

I spent 24 beautiful days at Pavana Resort during Hatha Yoga and Vinyasa Flow Teacher Training. At reception, I was promptly greeted with a cool cloth and a longevity welcome drink that I loved and sought throughout my stay. Thailand is known as the Land of Smiles and the staff certainly proved that as each encounter made me happy because of staff's professionalism and the extent they went to accommodate me with a smile. The retreat manager is "Tulip." She was extraordinary and the kindest Ambassador that Thailand and Pavana Resort has. She immediately found a way to personally connect with me. She always formally greeted me, causing me to smile--even after exhausting yoga practice. I don't think I have ever met such a hard working and lovely person. Regarding the Resort, I loved its location outside of busy Chiangmai. Pavana Resort offers a needed respite in a gorgeous natural environment of mountain views, lush plants, trees and the amazing sounds of birds and running water. During my stay, I was able to embrace the beauty of nature and this helped me to move deeper into meditation and into myself--to clear my head and heart. It was a transformative experience that the busy city could not provide. The accommodations were nice, clean and comfortable. I especially enjoyed my last 2 nights spent in a villa. After just a couple of days, the entire staff seemed to know my name. Everyone from the restaurant staff to housekeeping and laundry warmly greeted me. I felt special and cared for. The reception staff always promptly assisted me by printing important work and study documents. Every request I made was performed with amazing promptness and a smile. Pavana Resort will always be a special place for me. The small details included: smiling staff, flower and fruit placement in my room, folded laundry that was gift wrapped, providing my daily breakfast poolside, removing chocolate from mini-bar, buggy pick-up when needed, convenience of Spa, and the dream-like beauty of the lighting of Pavana Resort at night. These are the many reasons that Pavana Resort is my top Resort of choice.

I have been to Pavana for a yoga retreat twice last year. Great service and a self contained place. They grow their organic fruits and vegetables... the food is great. The two times I went, I didn't even want to go to town. The staff are very friendly and they remembered my name on my 2nd visit. The yoga sala aka pavilion has the view of the valley.
