OUR STORY

Namaste. We feel so unbelievably grateful for the beautiful space and the amazing teachers we have here at Sunshine Yoga. To practice. To relax. To be happy….The story of how we got here feels like a miracle! It started as a day-dream, a typical 20-something unsatisfied office worker with a regular yoga practice since her teens. Day after day staring out an office window, Stephanie (Sunshine Yogini) wondered if this was it….

In November 2014 she decided to go on a mission for the soul (number 1). She attended an intensive Ashtanga and Vinyasa teacher training in with Sampoorna Yoga. Upon her return, she immediately started teaching at the “The REC” in Balgreen as Edinburgh Sunshine Yoga. With each yoga class, her love for the practice and the students increased. The more she let go of a world which didn’t serve her, the more her universe started to align. It was time for a dedicated space and soul mission number 2.

Stephanie gathered incredibly talented yoga teachers from a wide variety of styles to bring Sunshine on Gorgie. Sunshine Yoga was born. Together, we are 8 beautiful yogis (and Murphy the Dog!), each with our own unique style.Each teacher brings energy and love to all their classes. The intention is for students to leave feeling happy and relaxed. For everyone to benefit from calmness and bliss.
