Our goal is to share the gift of yoga, healing and knowledge to all in a safe, supportive, rejuvenating environment. We offer class cards, a variety of massage services and workshops. We are a yoga studio and massage spa in Williamsburg, Brooklyn offering classes in Yoga, Tai Chi and Pilates as well as healing services in a variety of Hot Stone and Deep Tissue Massage, Body Treatments and Facials. Our new Spa is located at 218 N. 7th Street. Our yoga studio at 88 Roebling Street offers classes and sauna. Our 783 Driggs Avenue location offers just classes. Pattabhi Jois. This method of yoga involves synchronizing the breath with a progressive series of postures–a process producing intense internal heat and a profuse, purifying sweat that detoxifies muscles and organs. The result is improved circulation, a light and strong body, and a calm mind. Classic Hatha Yoga - This 2 hour class is comprised of meditation and long held postures focusing on the breath. Dharma Punx - Dharma Punx is a Buddhist meditation class led alternately by Josh Korda and Melissa McKay. There is a half hour guided meditation, a dharma talk and a Q & A. The cost is in a donation basis. All levels if meditation practice are welcome. Friday Night Sweat and Flow - An upbeat and fun way to end the week with music and asana. Inversion experience recommended. Hatha Vinyasa - This class uses dynamic sequencing with emphasis both movement and holding and refining alignment in postures while integrating themes of yoga practice and philosophy. Iyengar Yoga (Levels I, II, III) - Iyengar yoga places emphasis on physical alignment and precision in the poses in order to build concentration, strength and flexibility. Emphasis is also placed on pranayama(breath). Iyengar Yoga is based on the teachings of the living yoga master B.K.S. Iyengar, author of the classic yoga treatise Light on Yoga, who began teaching in Pune,, in 1936 at the age of 18. Props such as blankets, blocks, and straps are used. Pilates - A series of exercises to strengthen the core and develop muscle strength & proper alignment throughout the entire body. Prenatal Yoga - This special class creates space for community, breath, and movement in preparing for birth with yoga! Learn how to appropriately and safely modify practice during all stages of pregnancy. Gain awareness and support while toning key groups of muscles, especially the pelvic floor, and relaxing deeply in meditation. Recommended for moms-to-be in the second trimester onward, including postnatal. Restorative Yoga - An active relaxation. The body is supported with props to stimulate and relax thus reducing stress. Restorative poses are for those times when you feel fatigued or stressed from your daily activities. This practice is appropriate for injuries or illness. Vinyasa/Restorative - The first hour of this class is a flowing Vinyasa followed by a half hour of deep relaxation in Restorative and/or Yin postures. Vinyasa Express - A 1 hour class consisting of a flowing sequence of postures for all levels. Vinyasa Yoga - Vinyasa literally means moving with the breath. Postures are linked in a flowing style; the pace of this flow may vary depending on the teacher.
