Coming from a background of dance and gymnastics, Jenna saw yoga as a new physical challenge. She attended regular yoga classes on her college campus and quickly fell in love with the practice. She began teaching in 2010.For Jenna, yoga has been a way to find peace, grounding, energy, playfulness and humility. She approaches each practice with a curious mind and strives to learn something new about herself every time she steps onto her mat.In Jenna’s classes, poses are carefully placed and sequenced to offer a safe, fun and playful experience. She encourages her students to be mindful of their limitations and helps them to adapt each class to their own needs, body types and ability levels. She is grateful she is able to pursue her passion with this wonderful community in Medford, Massachusetts.
Restorative Yoga
A relaxing yoga class that uses props like blocks, straps and blankets to support the body. This class usually featured longer holds which allow the body to naturally open up through passive stretching. Appropriate for all levels.
Yoga for Runners
This class includes less “flow†and longer holds in lower body stretches. Appropriate for all levels and non-runners.
Yin Yoga
A perfect complement to a more vigorous yoga practice. Floor postures are passively held for several minutes in order to target the connective tissues of the body, such as the ligaments, bones, and joints which are not exercised very much in more active yoga classes. This practice is both nourishing, meditative, and strengthening for the whole, both mind and body.
Yoga Basics
Vinyasa (flow) yoga offered at a slower pace with deeper explanations of poses. This class is great for beginners and more advanced practitioners who are looking to reconnect with the fundamentals yoga.
Chakra Yoga
The seven chakras are energy centers in the body. Each chakra represents something different. Imbalances in the chakras can lead to illness, so our aim is the keep energy flowing freely to improve our health. In this class, poses and sequencing are chosen to help bring the chakras into balance. Each class will have a different focus. While drop-ins are welcome, regular attendance will yield the highest benefit.
Rise and Shine Yoga
An active but gentle yoga class designed to energize the body and clear the mind for the day ahead. Appropriate for all levels.
All Levels Yoga
A vinyasa yoga class with many opportunities for both modification and advancement. Yoga will feel comfortable whether you are newer to yoga or have a more advanced practice.
Core Flow Yoga
Challenging vinyasa yoga classes with a heavy emphasis on core strengthening. All levels are welcome.
Power Hour
Challenging vinyasa yoga classes to help you release the work week. Some yoga experience is suggested, but not required. $5 cash, $10 credit card or use your monthly unlimited membership.
Intermediate Yoga
Challenging vinyasa yoga classes designed for practitioners with a strong yoga foundation. This class incorporates challenging transitions, arm balancing and back bending – with options to modify.
