Arundhati Baitmangalkar, Founder and Lead Teacher of Aham Yoga, is a prolific yoga writer, international teacher and presenter, and an eternal student of classical yoga.Arundhati Baitmangalkar came to yoga after six years of teaching Bollywood dance in. She took to yoga instantly and began to pursue a long and rewarding journey through her practice that now flows over onto her many loving students. Before moving to the Seattle area, her thirst for the knowledge and authenticity of yoga led her to some of the best schools and yoga masters in. She completed her 500 hour Teacher Training under Yogacharya Bharath Shetty from Yoga Indea Mysore, and an additional 200 hour training from Atmayaan in Bangalore. From the East to the West, she brings with her a truly holistic practice combining Hatha and Vinyasa style yoga practice that is not limited to anybody.
With her 10+ years of teaching yoga, Arundhati considers herself an eternal student as she continues to study with her teachers, including senior Iyengar teacher HS Arun from Bangalore and the legendary Geeta Iyengar in Pune,. She returns to annually to renew her roots and deepen her own practice.
Believing deeply that the practice of yoga is accessible to all, Arundhati strives to express her knowledge and teachings to everybody around her in a way that can be easily understood. Having taught yoga in for several years, she now runs and teaches at Aham Yoga, in Redmond, WA, a studio that has evolved with it’s incredible community. It is through this creation that she reaches out to the local community and shares her knowledge and experience of yoga. Her classes are engaging, thorough, and consistent, helping build the practitioner’s knowledge of yoga through practice, hard work and dialogue. Aham Yoga offers a variety of group classes, private sessions, workshops, teacher trainings, retreats, and intensives, covering diverse topics from asana and pranayama, to kriyas and philosophy.
Arundhati is a passionate writer, both online and in print (Seattle Yoga News, Currents, and featured in Yoga Journal Russia). She presents at yoga conferences and conducts workshops and master classes in the U.S. and. Today, Arundhati is a well-recognized member in local yoga circles. She also runs her own Bollywood dance school called BollyWorks.
