In 2014, The Caribe Yoga Academy opened its doors as one of Costa Rica’s leading Yoga Teacher Training Programs.
Our Yoga Alliance Registered Yoga school for the 200- and 300-hour levels (registry ID: 143450) is the heartfelt creation of the director and lead trainer, Avani Gilbert (E-RYT 500).
The Caribe Yoga Academy’s offers a variety of 200- and 300-hour programs and a great selection of both immersion and non-immersion formats.
The diversity in offerings and a talented, professional staff allows the Caribe Yoga Academy to serve both visitors and those living full-time in our lush jungle wonderland. All instructor training programs are located and run at OM at Cashew Hill, a gorgeous wellness retreat and yoga training center in Puerto Viejo de Talamanca, South Caribbean, Costa Rica.

At AmaSer you’ll experience open-air living that will bring you one with nature. Enjoy a refreshing waterfall pool plunge, explore the gardens where your food grows, and spot and hear wildlife all around you.
The organic farm on-site and catering kitchen at AmaSer makes it easy for you to enjoy delicious meals together as one big happy group in our ocean view restaurant. Breakfast, lunch and dinner is provided so you can focus on your study while the restaurant takes care of nourishing you. The food is a labor of love, served buffet style, seasoned with fresh-from-the-garden organic herbs and utilizing local fruits and vegetables that are available seasonally. We are happy to watch the chefs harvest right out of the on-site gardens to provide for your fresh salads, smoothies, teas and entrees.
The meals at Caribe Yoga Academy are often one of the highlights for many student’s experience! We offer vegetarian meals with many vegan and gluten-free options.
The kitchen is able to accommodate vegan or gluten-free diets upon reservation. You will experience a blend of the best in Caribbean flavor with a selection of International favorites.
