Spread across a hillock, Gokluam Grand Coorg overlooks a landscape composed of arecanut trees, rolling hills draped in dense evergreen forests, coffee and spice plantations. Set away from the bustle of quaint towns and hamlets there is a primal energy in the air at Gokulam Grand, an aura born of the nature's benign caress - fascinating flora and fauna, tropical scents and bird calls.
Entering the resort, stone paved pathways weave beneath the overhanging trees, through rows of vividly coloured flowers, manicured bushes and underbrush. Cicadas and an anonymous army of sundry insects strike up a chorus. Going past a wood panelled reception area decorated with traditional brass lamps, a path branches off at regular intervals to descend towards rows of elegant villas set beside one fringe.
Expansive with a sense of space and generous amounts of light through large windows, the Premium Honeycomb rooms are laid back and stylish with balconies that provide great views of the property and the surrounding landscape. Inside, the rooms contain a living area and King-Size bedroom with an attached bathroom, furnished aesthetically and equipped with all requisite amenities.
Open to the air on three sides and looking out at the resort's swimming pool, the restaurant at the Gokulam Grand exudes a certain old world charm. Furnished extensively in wood, the bar at one end and the furniture arrayed in intimate clusters are both testaments to Kerala's vernacular design traditions. The bar serves an eclectic range of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages and the restaurant offers a wide range of pan-Indian cuisine.
