Arohan in Sanskrit means ascent. In Kriya and Kundalini yoga, Arohan is the ascending psychic passage which starts from the mooladhara chakra upwards to the bindu at the back of the head. Similarly, Arohan Yoga Teacher Training Institute in Rishikesh strives for the ascent of the Self into higher awareness, for its students.
The yoga school is a family operated institution. The school follows primarily the Satyananda style of yoga. Other yoga styles like Iyengar and Ashtanga Vinyasa Flow also has its influence. Apart from yoga postures, a lot of emphases is also given upon cleansing and detoxification techniques, Pranayama and Relaxation/Meditational Techniques. The school also tries to integrate the following four/five yoga paths
