Day 1 Mythological origin of ayurveda The great three; Charaka samhita, Sushruta samhita, Ashtanga Hridya The lesser three; Bhava Prakasha, Sharangdhara Samhita, Madhava Nidana Day 2 Fundamental Principles of Ayurveda Panchmahabhoota (Intro. And def., Evolution, Practical utility, Panchbhautik Therapy, Bhootagni principle) Day 3 Tri-Dosha theory (Vata, Pitta, Kapha) and the 15 Sub Doshas, their locations, qualities. Normal and abnormal dosha, causes of their vitiation, symptoms and line of treatment of vitiated dosha. This course is designed for healthcare professionals as well as serious students to provide the foundation for becoming an Ayurvedic practitioner, Doctors, Chiropractors, Nurses, Acupuncturists, Herbalist, Massage Therapists, Yoga therapists and Psychologists can take benefit of it in their practice as well as for them and family well being however there is no required medical background for those wishing to take the course. For this course we organize Three months Theory & Practical training at PDI India. After the 3 months practical training, the students need to write a thesis on a special topic allotted to them and at the end; an exam would be conducted to issue the certificate. This course is recommended for foreigners.
