The most convenient way to reach Rishikesh is by taking a domestic flight from New Delhi to Jolly Grant Airport (Dehradun Airport). The flight takes approximately 35–50 minutes, and the airport is located around 21 km from Rishikesh. From the airport, you can easily hire a taxi to reach Jiva Yoga Academy.

Please note that most domestic airlines in India allow approximately 15 kg check-in baggage and 7 kg cabin baggage.
You can also travel to Rishikesh by governmental or private bus from Delhi. From the airport, you may take a taxi or metro to ISBT Kashmere Gate, from where buses regularly depart for Rishikesh. The journey usually takes around 5–6 hours depending on traffic.

Private taxis are available from Delhi Airport directly to Rishikesh and offer a comfortable door-to-door journey. Travel time is approximately 5–6 hours depending on traffic conditions.
At Delhi Airport, you can book a prepaid taxi from the official counters located inside the airport near the baggage claim area. Always follow the official “Prepaid Taxi” signs.

The Delhi Airport Express is one of the fastest and most convenient ways to travel from Delhi Airport to New Delhi Railway Station and central Delhi. The metro usually operates from early morning until late evening and takes around 25 minutes to reach New Delhi Metro Station.
Auto-rickshaws are one of the easiest and most affordable ways to travel around Rishikesh. You can either hire a private rickshaw or use a shared one with other passengers. Rickshaws are commonly available on the main roads throughout the day.
Please note that transportation becomes limited late in the evening, so it is advisable to arrange your return in advance if you plan to stay out late.
Rishikesh is a beautiful town to explore on foot. Areas such as Ram Jhula and Lakshman Jhula are within walking distance and offer peaceful walks along the banks of the sacred Ganga River.
For safety reasons, women are advised not to walk alone late at night. It is generally safer to travel in groups or arrange transportation in advance.
