“Yoga isn’t about executing the poses perfectly, or having the best balance. Yoga is connecting with yourself. Yoga is like learning to breathe again. Or that moment when you jump out of bed in the morning, rush outside to do the sun salution and you’re blinded by how utterly brilliant the world can be. Yoga is taking a moment from your stressful, up-beat life and remembering you have a soul that needs tending to.”
It is our wish to share our experiences, wisdom, and knowledge of this ancient science with everyone who has a desire to deepen their practice. All of our inspirational teachers teach what they love, what they are passionate about, and they teach with compassion and always from the heart.

Ashtanga Yoga, not to be confused with Ashtanga vinyasa Yoga which was popularized by the famous Ashtanga yoga teacher Sri Pattabhi Jois, is a prescribed 8 limbed system of living that is said to lead an individual along the spiritual path towards self-realization and liberation. “Ashtanga,” in Sanskrit translates to “8 limbs”, or “8 branches,” and in this case refers to Yoga.
“Vinyasa” is a Sanskrit term which can be broken into two parts: nyasa, which means “to place”, and vi which means “in a special way. ” Vinyasa Yoga is a very popular style of yoga that is characterised by linking postures into a specific arrangement, while simultaneously co-ordinating movement with breath. It is frequently referred to as flow yoga since practitioners often feel a flowing quality once sufficient strength and balance has been attained. It is a very strong, powerful practice yet offers an equally graceful element. Yinyasa yoga was derived from the Ashtanga Vinyasa system; the key difference being that the Ashtanga Vinyasa system (all 6 series), as taught by Sri K. Pattabhi Jois, are set sequences which cannot be altered while vinyasa yoga sequences will always differ since teachers have freedom to designed different classes with different themes and intentions. Vinyasa yoga classes are an expression of a teacher’s creativity and each class highlights the uniqueness of each individual teacher. What differentiates a good vinyasa teacher from an amazing teacher; the ability to design brilliant sequences and themed classes. This is exactly what you will learn if you attend a 200 hour vinyasa yoga teacher training intensive at Suddha Anand Yogshala in Kerala.
