Shirodhara is a treatment used byn yogis to enhance self-awareness. At bali botanica, Shirodhara restores calm and vital balance to the mind and the nervous system, correcting imbalances of the senses. The treatment is also believed to reduce insomnia.

Shirodhara begins and ends with a face, neck and scalp massage. Once you are totally relaxed, the therapist takes up to 25 minutes to pour warm herbal oil in an even, continuous stream over the 6th Ajna chakra point located in the center of your forehead, better known as the third eye.

In this liberated state you may meditate deeply or simply abandon yourself to sensation of bliss. Ayurvedic Massage - Chakra Dhara

The Ayurvedic Chakra Dhara massage is both sensual and spiritual. It includes the dripping of one liter of warm herbal oil onto the chakra points. Our therapists use this oil ritual to balance the energy flow and purify the body, mind and spirit.

The therapist skillfully and respectfully treats your body with an array of repetitive and slow movements, alternatively stimulating and soothing, to eliminate toxins and other impurities. This deeply relaxing treatment also promotes blood circulation, increases flexibility and relieves pain and stiffness.

A truly holistic experience! Ayurvedic Crown Massage

Your therapists massages warm oil onto your head and upper body in a rhythmic rippling motion that dispels tension. A fresh hibiscus leaf mask is then applied to your hair while your scalp is wrapped with a banana leaf.

The arm massage is performed while you relax for 25 minutes. As the mask is removed, the therapist will again give you massage to stimulate blood circulation. Finally, you will have your hair washed and dried.

This treatment is specially recommended for those having tensions in the upper body and/or suffers from headache/migraine. Hibiscus leaves contain vitamin B1, B2 and C.
