Vitruvian has been in the business for 15 years. We started our company solely as a fully equipped Pilates studio in Pondok Indah who put emphasize on posture rehabilitation. We proudly become a representative of world renowned STOTT PILATES® nbsp;method in Indonesia by becoming a Licensed Training Centre (LTC) for STOTT PILATES® As a LTC, we train people who would like to become a STOTT PILATES® Instructor from all over Indonesia as well as from neighboring countries. From time to time we host highly credible Trainers from all over the world to give trainings in our facility
Over the years, we reinvent ourselves as an Integrated Movement Centre as well as a Physiotherapy clinic because we understand that movement can help to heal and rehabilitate injured people. As our team grows, we deepen our knowledge by learning other methods such as Feldenkrais, GYROTONIC, Redcord, OD on Movement, Anatomy Trains Structural Integration and many other Rehab courses and workshops. We strive to learn from best of the best in body and mind fitness industry.
Our team comprised of various backgrounds. Some of team members are Physiotherapists, manual therapists, dancers and movement practitioners. As movement therapists/specialists, we understand that we are not just teaching movement, but more importantly our job is to educate our clients on how to move correctly so they can apply it in their day-to-day activities. Our goal is to make every one of our clients walking out of our studio with a smile on their face.
For our Physiotherapy Clinic, we combine technology such as Indiba, active treatment approach such as Neurac, manual treatment and other Physiotherapy methodologies to rehabilitate pain and injured people. After the pain is gone, we recommend those clients to continue rehabilitation process by learning correct biomechanics movement from our movement specialists/therapists. Since we have many “tools” under our belt such as STOTT PILATES® Gyrotonic, Feldenkrais, Redcord active, ZEN•GA®, Total Barre®, Halo® Training, OD on Movement, Be Activated, we can customize program for our clients based on their ability and need.
Now Vitruvian has grown to house 20 movement specialists/instructors in two different facilities. We have another branch in Kertanegara, Jakarta.
Pilates is a low-impact exercise and does not induce inflammation and overuse syndromes. Increases in strength and improvements in flexibility.
Pilates is a technique that focuses on core strengthening, balance, and flexibility. These principles are some of the same principles used in the rehabilitation of many common orthopedic problems. Therefore, Pilates is more commonly being used in the prevention and rehabilitation of these orthopedic problems. Pilates can help avoid injury, professional athletes in some sports have started performing. Pilates regularly to help developing their core strength and flexibility. It is thought that these skills may help keeping the athlete injury-free and help enhance their performance.
Nowadays Pilates is being used by more athletes as a means to "crosstrain." By strengthening the core muscles, Pilates helps to teach the body more efficient and balanced movements. Athletes who have better core strength are thought to have better dynamic control of their movements, and are less likely to sustain injuries. This is what is known as "neuromuscular control," which has been used to prevent injuries including ankle sprains. STOTT PILATES® demonstrates how to integrate modified Matwork and Equipment based excercises appropriately into therapheutic conditioning.
One on One approach that would allow you to exercise at your convinient schedule and to experience the benefit of a more personal care due to varying reasons from feeling uncomfortable in a class environment or have any specific injuries or illness which would inhibit you from a class environment
A Semi-Private Class as it says is a Session that involves 2 clients, under the attentive eyes of A Trainer. The dynamic, stimulating energy found in regularly attended semi-private sessions will heighten the workout. Clients often take a mix of semi-private and private sessions, thereby getting both the benefits of one-on-one attention and maximum Pilates for their investment.
The most important reason why many women choose Pilates as one of the best exercises to do, both during and after their pregnancy is because Pilates is very adaptable. Most Pilates exercises can be modified as your body and abilities change. The modifications help you keep the purpose of the exercise, which is great to build core strength. If your abdominal strength, back and pelvic floor/Kegel muscles are toned, they will deliberately support a more comfortable pregnancy and delivery. No doubt, new mothers will get their figures back after the baby is born and avoid the all-too-typical Pot Belly and Dropping Breasts. It is important for you to find a facility that provides Certified Pilates Instructors who have already taken the ISP or Injury and Special Populations Course that can support your practice.
The STOTT PILATES® Injuries & Special Populations (ISP) course equips you with the skills required to address a broad range of physical challenges among your clients. It is important to note that this course will NOT prepare students to diagnose or treat any specific injuries or conditions or prescribe exercises for these populations without consultation with an appropriate health practitioner (i.e. Physical Therapist, Physiotherapist or similarly recognized health care professional).
