Surf & Yoga Mirissa is located in the third bay of Mirissa, which is a quite end of busy Mirissa beach. With just a hop from the beach, you reach a beautiful little third bay meant for snorkelling, sun and sea bathing, or just reading a book under a coconut tree. You can take a beach stroll to the right and reach the main beach which has many restaurants, or do a small hike to the left and reach the hilltop to visit the other beach, the temple or observe the sunset. The are three surf spots in the third bay itself, and on the left, Parrot rock break, and Mirissa beach and point breaks, giving any level of surfer a great choice.
Our rooms are decorated in a simple manner to make you feel like it’s your Sri Lankan home. The main villa, jungle house, and the girl’s dorm are our three main houses. The main villa has six rooms, the girl’s dorm has cosily arranged 6 beds, and jungle house has 4 rooms with doors opening to the jungle.
We have 10 rooms in total as follows, aptly named after few surfing moves and yoga postures. All rooms are well ventilated, have hot shower, and air conditioning.
Cutback – this is the first floor triple room which has marble floor, queen bed, and a extra single bed. It has a private patio with view across the footpath to the gate.
Balasana – this is our family room with queen bed, and single bed, and we can arrange a baby cot on request for an extra fee. It has the jungle view over the fence. This room also has a private patio with chairs and a couch. The room also have tea / coffee making facility.
Floater – this is a standard triple room with view over the garden. It has a large sofa bed in its private balcony as well. With marble floors and lush view, guests love this room too. The room has a queen bed and a single bed.
Suvasana – as the name suggests, this is a comfortable triple room with a private balcony with a nice view over the jungle in the backyard. The room also have tea / coffee making facility.
Virasana – this is a wooden cottage double room with a smaller private balcony, and distant ocean view from the balcony! This room is ideal for a couple looking for a cozy hang-out.
Aerial – this wooden cottage probably has the best view of the thick jungle and beyond. This is a triple room with a double bed and a single room with extra large private balcony.
Jungalow House – Jungalows is located behind our camp. There is a path (through a small jungle) which connects the camp and the Jungalows.
Girl’s Dorm – This is the newest addition to our range of accommodation options in the camp, a newly built 6 bed female dorm room. It has a fan, aircon, a reading light, and every bed had a charging port. Attached open air bathroom is a delight.
Other facilities at the surf camp include,
Vegan Cafe & Palms Coffee shop, surf shop, chill-out lounge, play carom, cards, Hula-hoop, Skip a rope, hammocks, snorkelling equipment, surf movies, slack lining, & a book library.
