Snehapanam Treatment In this treatment, medicated ghee (clarified butter) orally administrated to the patient for a specific period, the dosage is increased progressively every day. This ghee is made from clarified butter (obtained from cow's milk) from which the protein content has been removed. It is then boiled with various herbs. Snehapanam is done in the morning after attending to the calls of nature, on an empty stomach. After the head and abdomen massage patient sit in a chair with comfortable position, closing the eyes warm ghee is given to drink. The health, age, doshas condition and digestive capacity of the patient need to be taken in to consideration when determining the dosage. Normal course of ghee between 5 to 7 days.
