Purple Valley is a peaceful Ashtanga yoga retreat center in Goa, located on India’s west coast, close to sandy beaches and the Arabian Sea. We've specialized in Ashtanga yoga retreats for more than 15 years and offer 1 and 2-week courses led by dedicated and inspiring senior Ashtanga yoga teachers. We offer yoga for beginners as well as more experienced yoga practitioners.
Our retreat center offers comfortable, simple, but cozy rooms, surrounded by a lush garden and is equipped with a swimming pool as well as massage and beauty services. Guests are treated to delicious vegetarian meals twice a day, with a cuisine that's a mix of Indian as well as international tastes.
Over the last few years, the Ashtanga world has been through challenging experiences as a yoga community. Through painful experiences – not only personal but equally through those of others – we have the opportunity to learn and move forward with a better understanding of what it means to create a safe and supportive environment for all teachers and yoga practitioners.
We have great respect and trust for the teachers who lead the retreats at Purple Valley Yoga Centre. They've dedicated their lives to the practice and teaching of Ashtanga yoga and always welcome an open dialogue with the practitioners.
Our intention is to continue serving the Ashtanga yoga community with honesty, inclusivity, and compassion, and to continue to create a space for practitioners to grow and deepen their practice.
Ashtanga yoga is also a great way to experience the meditative side of yoga. It involves a consistent focus of the mind on the breath, the posture, and the gaze which allows us to be focused in the present moment. Since we don't have to put our mind to deciding what asana to do next each day, and the series is more or less set, the practice becomes a moving meditation.

Simplicity and comfort for your stay. Purple Valley Yoga Retreat is home to some of the most comfortable yoga accommodation in Goa. Many of our students, looking for a yoga break in, travel on their own and would like to share a room with another student. We also cater for couples wishing to share a double bed and our single room supplement is one of the most reasonable you will find at any yoga retreat. There are 3 houses to choose from. Ganesh is in the main house, The cottages are 5 adjoined attached bungalows further along the grounds and set within the beautiful tropical gardens and Savasana house suits those looking for a slightly higher standard and modern accommodation.
