Upaya Yoga is entirely a creation of Prem Krishna Ananda. It is born from his own experience and personal journey into yoga. Krishna approached yoga for the first time in his early twenties and since then he never left its path. The development of a strong self-practice brought him to share with others his accomplishments and discovery. This led to many years of teaching experience in India and in Europe.
The professional success and personal gratification gathered along those years eventually merged into the idea of creating a school completely based on Krishna’s method and vision. The search for an ideal location ended in Arambol (Goa) where the centre is currently based.

This training gives the opportunity to experience community life with a touch of ashram lifestyle; have a more wide understanding of the asana (both hatha and ashtanga style); to learn about alignment and adjustment of the body; in addition to pranayama, mantra, yogic philosophy/ yoga anatomy, ethics of a yoga teacher and teaching practice.
At the conclusion of the training, you will receive a certificate recognized by Yoga Alliance US and UK both.
In order to achieve a licence for teaching, you will have to continue your education and complete the remaining 100 hours yoga teacher training course. You are entitled to do so with us, at any time later, or with any other school in the world.

Our 200 hrs Course comes from the experience of many years. Its structure especially allows the students to embrace and to understand yoga by different perspectives. This shows very clearly the multidisciplinary of Yoga and the connection between many branches of ancient knowledge for instance Ayurveda and Philosophy; Meditation and Mantra; Pranayama and Asana.
The teaching of these topics develops to bring the students progressively to a complete understanding of the matter. In such a way each lesson always delivers some beautiful insights.
Upaya Yoga is delighted to offer a unique 200 hour teacher training course which combine together an in-depth practice of Ashtanga Vinyasa yoga and Yin yoga. The aim of this training is to deliver a complete understanding and experience of these two practices, which can nowadays synthesize the top aspects, respectively, of a yang and yin practice. The course deeps dive into the two styles of yoga in order to show their true complementary and their equal importance for a healthy and balanced yogic practice. Ashtanga Vinyasa Yoga stands as the most authentic and meaningful active style of yoga from which have, in the modern era, been developed all sort of dynamic fast paced practices such as: Power Yoga, Bikram Yoga, Vinyasa Flow Yoga and so on.
300 hour Yoga Teacher Training at Upaya Yoga India is affiliated with Yoga Alliance USA. Our 300 hour advanced yoga teacher training course is a 28 days intensive yoga program designed to deepen your already existing knowledge and foundations of yoga. You must have already completed a 200 hour Yoga Teacher Training Course to be eligible to enroll in our 300 hour Yoga Teacher Training program.
This course will provide you with knowledge of advance yoga teaching skills. After completion of 300-hour yoga teacher training, you can teach beginner, intermediate and advanced students with clarity and confidence. Our unique designed multi-style advance yoga course provides training in three main styles of yoga: Hatha (including traditional and therapeutic), Ashtanga and Vinyasa Yoga. In addition, you will gain in-depth knowledge of pranayama, meditation, and philosophy. The course will provide you knowledge of advanced yoga teaching skills as well as an understanding of deeper yoga philosophy. This program will facilitate you to get registered as RYT–500 and creates the new opening for you teach anywhere in the world. This course is meant to carry you further along your journey as a teacher and prepare you for a more advanced level and trans-formative power of yoga.
In our 500-Hour Yoga Teacher Training curriculum, we introduce an advance ancient Vedic and yogic knowledge with the modern practices of science and teaching methodology. During this course, mainly time will be spent on expanding your knowledge of asanas while paying attention to the key alignments and anatomical structures to deepen your own practice as well as learning how to teach others safely. We have designed the program to be an enjoyable, unperturbed and enlightening experience. Students need to be ready spiritually and physically as our classes have various rigorous sessions as well as calmer and more healing sessions. We serve and recommend a Saatvik (yogic) diet to expand your sense of wellbeing.
Upaya Yoga feels pleasure to launch Yoga Nidra Teachers Training Course with the objective to get familiar with the science of Yoga Nidra, to know its practical and theoretical aspects well and to understand to teach Yoga Nidra efficiently. This course is in continuation for those who have completed 200 hours Teachers Training Course certified by Yoga Alliance and also for those who need a relaxing and rejuvenating break so that they can go back to their daily routine with fresh body and mind, charged with motivation.
Yin Yoga is a complementary and synergistic practice to the most dynamic forms of yoga.
It is commonly defined as a passive practice in opposition to all the other styles of yoga which are considered active (hatha, ashtanga, vinyasa etc.). This definition originates from the specific way of exercising the body, without the engagement of the muscles. Whereas in Yin specific tissues and components of the body are passively stimulated. These tissues typically are: the joints, the ligaments, the fascia and the bones.

4 LUXURY A/C APARTMENTS: Enjoy breathtaking sea and river views from your private balcony. 2 apartments are with private bathroom; 2 apartments have a shared bathroom. There is a large communal kitchen available to all 4 apartments. The rooms have 1 double bed and are suitable for double or single occupancy.
Breakfast: Oat porridge, fresh fruit, curd, muesli, brown bread, seasonal finger millet bread, jam, peanut butter, brown poha, white poha, daliya, upma, chai, herbal tea, cow milk, soya milk, coffee.
Lunch: Rich variety of beans and lentils, sprout, tofu chunks, soya chunks, mixed vegetables, salad, humus, potatoes, sweet potatoes, plain brown rise, plain basmati rice, chapati.
Dinner: Rich variety of soups, mixed vegetables, boiled vegetables, rise based dishes, noodles, pasta.
A communal fridge is at disposal of the students, in the dining area, if they wish to integrate the meal with some little extra.
Upaya Yoga Center, Arambol Beach, Goa Nestled amongst palm trees and tropical gardens, only a one minute walk to the sea, our school in North Goa offers a welcoming and comfortable location in natural tranquil surroundings, giving our yogis the perfect balance. Upaya Yoga Center offers various kinds of accommodation including Eco Hut, AC Room, Apartments or shared options with a choice of sea, river or garden views. Please note availability of rooms is based on first come first served. The Yoga Shala at the center is located on the roof with views of the sea, river and hills, it is surrounded by coconut trees and built of natural materials, thus providing a sense of unison with the surroundings and is just a One minute walk from the beach. Upaya Yoga Center is situated on Arambol Beach, the center has a perfect location for a pure and enriching yogic learning experience as well as an energizing yet relaxing spot. You could go for a swim, bask in the sun or simply meditate. We aim to serve complete Saatvik food during the course, which includes 2 hot vegetarian meals a day (lunch and dinner) and breakfast in the mornings. You could also enjoy the local Konkani food in restaurants in Arambol and close by Mandrem.
