I went to Atsumi in October 2019 after... what was... a really hard year. My mother died in March, my father fell on a walk and suffered a concussion, and I left a job I loved. I went to Phuket on a gorgeous whim and fell in love with the city, the people, Atsumi, and the entire staff there, especially Anna, the owner. It is a beautiful retreat. I stayed offsite at an air BNB, but the cottages are lovely. Yoga 2-3x a day, tuktuk rides to the beach, Thai boxing, and so much more. I can't recommend this resort enough. It changed my lilfe;

This was my second trip to Atsumi, the first was 6 years ago. I lost 13 kg in the lead-up and at the retreat this time (16 last time); my flexibility increased greatly through Yoga (new to me); and generally gained some balance back in life (coming from a workaholic, travel, business dinner & drinking environment). It was a great way to hit life's "reset button".
All but one were return guests (one had been there 6 times). It's small, low key, and friendly. A new person showed up every day or two, and people left on the same pace. My group included a few Canadians, a few Aussies, an HK born SG resident, a gal from HK, a French Dubai resident, a Brit and me (American). All were nice and interesting people. You also get to know the great Thai staff well (+ a German & Canadian, and a few others). You can spend the day doing activities (yoga, colonics, massages, beach trips, night market, etc.), or you could opt-out and chill out. My favorites - Orlando's Yoga & Moo's kick boxing (others were good as well). I was also surprised to find an 8 day full fast is not that hard!
I plan to go back every 2-3 years. You an find posher retreats, but this one has the "secret sauce".

This was my 4th visit to Atsumi to experience their raw food and full fast programs. Set in humble, natural and tranquil surroundings, Atsumi gives you every opportunity to relax and focus on wellness for your body and mind. Anna and the team at Atsumi are exceptionally kind and very personalized in their approach to each person's needs/goals

Just over 12 months ago I did a Detox programme at Atsumi . During the last 12 months I have lost 23 kilos .
The experience I had there transformed my life . The programme is not just about actually doing the Detox but ensuring that you have the purpose in your mind to go home and continue with the resolve to change all of the bad eating habits that we have and get a few good exercising disciplines in place . Reduce alcohol intake and put some joy and sense of achievement back into your life . Atsumi can only guide us in the right direction ......the real transformation must come from the will required to make the positive changes that must occur .
Never give up .
Thank you very much ......

This is my 2nd stay at Atsumi. I am pleasantly surprised by the revamp of the program, ie, more yoga and other exercise classes. I really fall in love with the whole atmosphere: surrounded by greens, sitting peacefully in the Sala facing the pond,. and always friendly and helpful staff. Anna and her team provide an excellent environment for one to relax and detox. I think it is one of the best detoxing programs in the area, and also one of the oldest. Feel totally revamped after the trip. Will definitely come back again, and again.
Special recommendation would be their home made liver flush, really smooth, still struggling to copy it at home, LOL.
